Duke City information-sharing meeting

Parents of all soccer players who are currently U-10 or older are welcome to come to an informational meeting with our Director of Coaching & Player Development, Aaron Cline, to learn about Duke City soccer. At times there can be significant misinformation about what Northern SC Duke City soccer is and what it is not. This is a good opportunity to learn the details of our Duke City program and get answers to your questions. Two sessions will be held, 8 and 9 May 2012, both from 5:30-6:30pm at Santa Fe College of Art & Design. The 8 May meeting will be held on the SW Annex (#aa on the map). The location HAS BEEN CHANGED for the 9 May meeting to Beniludus Hall Room 100-101 (#23 on map), (map), 1600 St Michaels Drive, Santa Fe, NM 87505. Hope to see you there.

Uniroyal® Soccer Program Going Above and Beyond in 2011!

Uniroyal is celebrating 12 years supporting youth soccer across the nation! The program began in 2000 with 200 dealers and has since spanned the U.S. and Canada benefiting more than 3,000 youth soccer programs! Working with local tire dealers, Uniroyal has donated nearly $13 million in funds and equipment in the past 12 years, including more than one million soccer balls. 2011 has already grown to surpass our biggest expectations! With our spring 2011 program wrapping up and fall 2011 program underway, we are very excited to begin a year of meaningful community relationships.

"With the 12th year already producing a significant increase in dealer enrollment and soccer league participation, we can only imagine the impact and growth this will have on the youth today," said Ana Martin, Uniroyal Tire Communications Manager. "The program has grown to include more than 1,100 dealers, reaching nearly one million families! Each year, we hope to see that number keep climbing, and so far, we have yet to be disappointed by the show of support and participation from our loyal past and new participants."

During a 30-day program period, youth soccer league participants will receive a certificate that can be redeemed at their participating tire dealer to get a free soccer ball, while supplies last. After the program period, Uniroyal® and the tire dealer will donate $2 to the league for every Uniroyal® tire sold to the public during the promotion. Families will also be offered a customized multi-branded rebate.

"This program not only provides a great opportunity for Uniroyal to give back to the community, but it also allows kids to enjoy a free soccer ball," said Martin. "On top of the soccer ball donation, which allows local dealers to support their neighborhood soccer programs face-to-face, the leagues also receive a charitable contribution. It is a great opportunity for local businesses to give back, and we are very honored to be a part of such a great cause."

Since many leagues supported by the Uniroyal Soccer Program are not-for-profit, they operate solely on volunteer time and money. The soccer program not only facilitates the action of playing soccer but also helps keep organizations strong while focusing on the importance of community.
