Practice reminders:
PLEASE, when on the Mountain Fields (smaller goals) conduct your practice from sideline to sideline. Only use the goal areas when scrimmaging at the end of training. We need to preserve the goal mouths. At the end of practice on the Mountain fields, move ALL equipment off the fields to the track side and store the tires/sandbags/plates properly, even if someone else left them there the day before. We need the goals, tires, flags, etc. off the fields to accommodate mowing. TEAMS THAT PRACTICE ON FRIDAYS, PLEASE LEAVE THE GOALS IN PLACE FOR THE SATURDAY GAMES.
GOALS: If you use the metal goals - you MUST weigh them down with tires, sandbags or metal plates. We do need more metal weights for the Downs. If you have an old weight set, we can use your old plates. You may leave them by the "new" information booth next to the parking lot.
Please limit yourself to your practice areas and times. The practice schedule is available on the Academy/Mountain Program page. Look carefully at your assigned area and don't assume that a different space is available just because no one is there yet.
Coach certification:
The minimum certification you as a coach need to have to coach in Northern Soccer is a Youth Module 1 (YM1) certificate. The YM1 course is currently offered for free and on-line by NMYSA. Visit their Coach Education page and select the "eYM1" button to access the on-line course.
